​Registration Guidelines and Policies

​Please read this section carefully before registering. 
Admission Guidelines
All students must register for classes within their age group. Age requirements are nonnegotiable and are strictly enforced for each class. There are no exceptions.

​Registration Guidelines & Procedures
-Enrollment cannot be processed without complete information and registration payment in full.
-Registration forms must include parent/guardian acknowledging and agreeing to Alex's Art Studio policies by checking the box in the form
-Registrations are accepted by mail.​ Mail your completed registration form and payment to:

​**If the class is full when your registration arrives, you will be notified immediately via the phone number or e-mail address you provided. Your student will be put on a waiting list. 

Monthly Tuition:  
Monthly tuition payments are due on the first day of each month by cash, credit/debit card or money order at Alex's Art Studio 


​Cancellations, Changes, and Refunds
  • No refunds are issued after the start date of the classes for which you registered.
  • No refunds are issued for “no-shows.”
  • Refund of tuition is given if written notice is received 10 business days prior to the first class meeting. Without 10 business days written notice, total tuition is forfeited.
  • Registrations received less than 10 business days prior to the first class meeting, including same-day registrations, are considered final and are nonrefundable.
Media Release
Pursuant to state and federal law, Alex’s Art Studio will not release any personally identifiable information without prior consent from the student’s parent or guardian. Personally identifiable information includes student’s names and grade levels, photo images, location and times of field trips, and awards and honors. Although the global accessibility of the Internet brings with it some inherent dangers, I would like to celebrate your child and his/her work.


The law requires that we ask for permission to post any information about your child. 
  • ​By checking the box on the registration form you grant permission for an identifiable photo image of your child along with his/her name and grade level to be published on the Alex’s Art Studio website and in local newspapers.
  • You may check the box on the registration form that DOES NOT allow  Alex's Art Studio to  publish an identifiable photo image or any other personal information regarding your child.

Discipline/Dismissal
​Alex's Art Studio reserves the right to remove students from classes for behavior that is deemed to be rude, disruptive, inappropriate, or dangerous. Alex's Art Studio and staff maintain the right to dismiss a student from a class with a prior warning, and to remove a student permanently from a class for repeated offenses. In the event of ongoing behavior problems, the student will be dismissed with no refund and not allowed to attend any future classes. Students may also be dismissed for nonpayment of monthly tuition.


​​Inclement Weather
In the event of inclement weather,Alex's Art Studio makes every effort to make an announcement about class cancellations as quickly as possible. In general, Alex's Art Studio will follow weather closures as posted by Crosby Independent School District when in session. Information regarding class cancellations will be available at the Alex's Art Studio web site (www.alexartstudio.com).  If a class is canceled due to inclement weather, there are no refunds, we will  make-up at the end of the semester if needed..

Illness
  • In order to protect the health of all the students, Alex's Art Studio prohibits students from attending class when ill with a communicable disease or condition such as but not limited to; chicken pox, the flu, head lice, pink eye, or strep throat.
  • We will notify parents/guardians regarding any student who becomes ill during class and to request that said student be picked up immediately. 
  • If your student misses class due to illness, we will work with your student to make sure he/she gets caught up. There are no refunds or make-ups for classes missed due to illness.
Emergency Medications
  • Alex's Art Studio and staff is prohibited from administering medication to its students with the exception of emergency medications. Emergency medications such as but not limited to; Epi-pens and asthma inhalers.  
  • Parents/ Guardians are responsible for supplying the Alex's Art Studio with all necessary emergency medications and ensuring that such medications are not expired. All emergency medications must be accompanied by a prescription from a licensed professional and must be in the original container with your child’s name and all labels intact.
  • Parents/Guardians  may visit their child at any time to administer necessary medications.
  • For students with food allergies, please note that Alex's Art Studio  does not monitor what other children bring to class for snacks and cannot guarantee a “nut-free environment.”

Waiver and Release of Liability
  • Although Alex's Art Studio hopes that no student is ever injured or hurt, injuries are a possibility.The students and/or their legal guardian understand and agree that this risk is not a risk that Alex's Art Studio assumes and that Alex's Art Studio is not responsible for any injuries to the students. Accordingly, the student and their legal guardian voluntarily release, discharge, and waive the right to sue Alex's Art Studio and staff.
  • The student and/or legal guardian hereby grants permission to Alex's Art Studio to obtain emergency medical treatment for the student if Alex's Art Studio deems in its discretion that such emergency medical treatment is necessary.
Valuables 
Students are encouraged to leave all valuables and all personal or sentimental items at home. Alex's Art Studio and staff are not responsible for loss of or damage to a student’s valuables or personal items.
